Contact Lens Wearing

Contact lenses are available for many different wear schedules and vision needs. Wearing schedules can vary in replacement, including daily, bi-weekly, or monthly for soft contact lenses. An examination and possible follow-ups are necessary to ensure the proper fit, clearest vision, and best choice for each individual’s needs and lifestyle.

Soft Contacts

Soft contacts are the most commonly worn contact lenses and are available in daily, two week, or monthly replacement options. This decision is made with the doctor on what it best for the health and vision of the patient. Soft contacts are also available for patients who have astigmatism correction and multifocal needs (having functional vision to see for distance, intermediate, and near vision).

Gas Permeable

Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) Contact Lenses - These are made of rigid, durable materials that allow oxygen to pass through to the eyes. They provide clear and crisp vision and are ideal for patients with certain eye conditions or those who need vision correction beyond what soft contact lenses can offer.

Myopia Progression

In addition to our standard and specialty contact lens options, we also offer contact lenses specifically designed to slow down the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children. These contact lenses work by reshaping the cornea and slowing down the elongation of the eyeball, which is a key factor in myopia progression. By slowing down the progression of myopia, these contact lenses can help reduce the risk of developing high myopia, which is associated with an increased risk of eye diseases.

Specialty Contacts

In addition to our standard contact lens options, we also offer specialty contact lenses to address more complex vision needs. These contact lenses are designed to address specific conditions and can provide a range of benefits such as improved comfort, sharper vision, and extended wear. These include scleral contact lenses and hybrid contact lenses. These are beneficial to patients with keratoconus, post corneal grafts, severe dry eye, and other corneal conditions.
